Background

Mark Eidahl was a graduating senior at the University of Minnesota in the fall of 1991 majoring in Fisheries and Wildlife.  His life came to a tragic end in November of that year when he was involved in a fatal car accident.  As fellow members of FarmHouse Fraternity, we have decided to honor his memory and legacy with a scholarship to help future students attend the University of Minnesota.  To date we have raised over $20,000 with cash and pledges towards the establishment of this scholarship.

Golf Tournament

The annual golf tournament is one of the ways in which we raise money to help establish this endowed scholarship.  We are ready to take registration for the 6th annual Mark Eidahl Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament to be held at Terrace View Golf Course just south of Mankato on Friday, July 22nd.  There will be a 10 a.m. Shotgun start.

This is a best ball tournament and we are looking for teams of four.  If you can’t get a team together, sign up on your own and we will find a team for you when you arrive.  Attendance at the tournament has grown each year.  Last year the tournament drew over 72 people, which is the maximum number that the course can accommodate.  Thus, we encourage you to register early to ensure your spot. 

Please get your teams together and send your registration (link to registration form listed above), along with a check to Gary Schmiesing.  Make the check payable to “The Mark Eidahl Memorial Scholarship Fund.”  Please don’t wait, send your registration as soon as possible.  It's a great way to catch up with friends while raising money for a scholarship that goes directly to a University of Minnesota student in Mark's memory.

Another way to support this endeavor is to help sponsor the tournament, which can be accomplished in the following ways:.  It costs $100 to sponsor a hole and there will be signage at the hole giving recognition for said donation.  Please feel free to contact anyone on the planning committee (listed below) if you have questions.

Gold Sponsorship:  $500
Maroon Sponsorship:  $250
Gold & Maroon sponsors will be recognized with their names on a banner at the Event.

Hole Sponsorship:  $100
Sponsor will be recognized by a sign on a hole tee box.
